The Economic Reform Team (ERT) & Studies & Economic Media Center (SEMC) organizes a training workshop for Yemeni Economic Researchers on Writing Effective Policy Papers in cooperation with the Arab Institute of Heads of Institutions in Tunis .
The workshop aims the build the capacities of Yemeni researchers on Writing Economic Policy Papers in order presents proposals for solutions to many problems from which the Yemeni economic is suffering , the policy papers will covers the most important problems such as Banking sector problem , the role of the private sector in providing commodities , activating chambers of commerce and industry , reducing of commodities import problems , and supporting pilot projects during conflict period .
The trainee researchers represents the first threshold to have a team of researchers specialized in policy papers in the framework of developing the Yemeni Economic Forum, a forum of thinking and research serves the Yemeni economy through developing proposals and perceptions of solutions to the problems of Yemeni economy.
The ERT is a 25-member team of leading Yemeni business men and women, representing every major sector of the Yemeni economy, and dedicated to the reconstruction and recovery of Yemen.
The Studies and Economic Media Center (SEMC), based in Yemen, is a civil society organization advocating promotion of transparency and citizens’ right of access to information. It has played a pivotal role in supporting legislations that affirm the Yemeni citizens’ right to obtain information.
