<\/figure>\n\n\n\nAddressing the participants, the head of\nEU Delegation to Yemen Ambassador Hans Grundberg said: \u201cI am delighted that we\nhave been able to bring together this important number of prominent Yemeni journalists\nto advance humanitarian journalism in Yemen. We trust that these kinds of\ninitiatives can contribute to improving the flow of information about the\nhumanitarian situation on Yemen in a way that helps respond to the different\naspects of the crisis.\u201d Ambassador Grundberg also underscored the importance of\nhaving a reliable and conflict-sensitive media in Yemen that can support the\noverall humanitarian efforts, de-escalation and the peace process. He\nreiterated EU support for the efforts of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen to\nreach an inclusive settlement for the Yemeni crisis. Ambassador Grundberg\nwarmly thanked the Jordanian authorities for facilitating the organisation of a\nwide range of EU-supported peace-building initiatives in Jordan, which demonstrates\nJordan\u2019s hospitality but also its long-term vision on regional stability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n CFI’s Mediterranean Asia Director David\nHivet said: \u201cThis seminar aims to deliver ideas, solutions and collaborations between\nmedias, journalists, NGOs and international organisations to serve the\ninterests of the Yemeni population and particularly Yemeni women who are the\nmost affected by the situation. All over the world, when journalists are\ncovering conflicts, most of the time, they report and write about men (e.g. soldiers,\npoliticians, etc.).
