Earlier today in Mukalla, Observers Alliance; a coalition of three Yemeni CSOs, held a press conference to release its third monitory report on implementing NDC (National Dialogue Conference) outcomes, with regard to 4 cases (the Southern Issue, Good Governance, Rights and Freedoms, and Sustainable Development).<\/span><\/p>\n During the conference, Chairman of “Observers Organization for Independent Media”; Alliance member Mr. Emad Al-Dini, pointed out to the importance of efforts paid by the alliance to monitor implementation of NDC outputs, reviewing contents of first, second and third monitory reports that detected a major delay in implementation of outputs.<\/span><\/p>\n Within the third report, it was stated that 60% of the Southern Issue outputs, represented by the 31 Points, were not implemented, although the CDC (Constitution Drafting Committee) held 16 meetings summed up to 111 sessions, but it’s still going slow on achieving the milestone of issuing the constitution’s first draft aimed for community’s participation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n SEMC (Studies & Economic Media Center) Chairman, Head of the Alliance Mr. Mustafa Nasr, pointed out to the good results achieved by the alliance, mentioning that the National Authority’s “National Authority to Monitor Implementing NDC Outcomes” meetings are a good indicator, but it must immediately put time-lined schedules for implementing the outputs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Furthermore, the third report revealed the slowness of the National Authority on carrying out its duties, pointing out to the fact that until the moment, rest of the authority’s presidency committee were not selected yet, although its Chairman, President Hadi gave all the components 24 hours to select their representatives.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Mr. Sameer Hasan, Chairman of “Al-Badeel Center for Media and Development”, a member of the Alliance, emphasized that these monitory reports can unveil any possible irregularities or violations by authorities while implementing NDC outcomes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Observers Alliance is a civil, neutral coalition that consists of 3 CSOs in Sana’a, Aden and Hadramawt respectively: Studies and Economic Media Center (SEMC), Al-Badeel Center for Media and Development, and Observers Organization for Independent media.
