Yesterday in Sana’a, SFCG (Search for Common Ground) concluded the program of “Youth National Methodological Summit,” at which 18 participants representing 9 governorates (Sana’a – Aden – Hadramout – Hodeidah – Lahj – Taiz – Ibb – Mareb – Raymmah) participated for a period of two days.
Yesterday in Sana’a, SFCG (Search for Common Ground) concluded the program of “Youth National Methodological Summit,” at which 18 participants representing 9 governorates (Sana’a – Aden – Hadramout – Hodeidah – Lahj – Taiz – Ibb – Mareb – Raymmah) participated for a period of two days.
This workshop, which falls into “The Team” project second phase, came after a series of methodological summits that were implemented at targeted governorates, and its importance lies within reviewing outputs of these summits implemented in 9 governorates, with regard to law sovereignty, citizenship and women’s roles they can perform within society.
Dutch ambassador, whom attended the summit; His Excellency A. nike air max 2017 pas cher Gierveld emphasized that Dutch embassy’s support for the project “The Team” is because it’s distinctive and focuses on substantial issues, and because it utilizes media means in a positive way that backs and strengthens project’s main issues which are law sovereignty, citizenship and enhancing the role of women in society.
On the one hand, Mr. asics france Shawqi Al-Maqtari, Regional Coordinator of SFCG explained that this project enables creating solutions for vital social issues in Yemen, that overall contribute to raising social awareness, and strengthening values of coexistence and peace. On the other hand, Mr. asics kinsei Mustafa Nasr, Chairman of SEMC (Studies and Economic Media Center) clarified that these methodological summits come to materialize those vital issues that citizens suffer from, especially absence of law sovereignty, absence of equal citizenship and fading role of women in the society that is caused by absence of awareness, at which media means should have the main role in strengthening social awareness and rectify its course.
Participants were involved in extensive discussions during the 2 days of the workshop, and these discussions centered on creating a matrix of national priorities that shall be transformed into an agenda to be dealt with within The Team project – second phase and any other future projects.
